A Glowy Makeup Look & New In

So I’ve been neglecting my blog a little! BUT I also have a little surprise coming so I think you’ll be excited to see it!

A couple of weeks ago my sister and I went to a breakfast event! The whole concept is Blushing Babes so for my makeup I wanted to go with a glowy blush look! I never change up my makeup too much but I’ve been trying to some things lately and I love them!

I picked up a couple new bits for the day and I am a huge fan of all of them! First for my base was the Smashbox Primerizer. This is a primer and moisturizer in one and it’s super hydrated. One of my biggest problems with makeup is my dry patches so keeping my skin hydrated is important. I use it on top of my moisturizer and it keeps my skin hydrated all day! I’m a big fan of this!

Next, MAC Face & Body – I LOVE this foundation. After hearing blogger after blogger rave about it I picked it up. They didn’t have my proper shade match (Mac NEVER does!), so I had to get one a little darker which is a pain, but I love the finish! Its so glowy but also just looks like my skin and although it doesn’t cover my spots it hides all my redness. I love to apply this with my fingers and just buff it a little with my stippling brush. By far the easiest base product I’ve tried. I can’t recommend this one enough.

Then comes my go-to blush Glossier’s Cloud paint in Dusk, some bronzer (from essence), my gimme brow, some L’Oreal Lash Paradise, Charlotte Tilbury Eyes to Mesmerize in Bette, and a new Essence highlight. I also powdered my t-zone and under eyes with my Charlotte Tilbury powder. Then for my lips my go-to L’oreal colour riche in Glossy Fawn.

Lastly, I set my makeup with Mac Fix+ – I have no real opinion about this but my first thoughts are that it smells SO strange! Kinda like cologne? I had never tried it before so I was so surprised by that! Overall it did set my makeup nicely and I was happy with what it did.

So thats what was on my face!
