I’ve done a spring and a summer routine, so I thought it was time I showed you my holiday routine! Showing what has been added and what has stayed in my makeup routine in the last
Most products you’ll notice have been in my routine for the last couple months, but one has been with me all the way since the beginning. My favourite base is the IT Cosmetics CC+ cream! I’ve been using this for years and I love it, it’s glowy and the light-medium coverage gives me the perfect everyday base.
I then add a little concealer on my spots and under my eyes. I just picked up the Maybelline Fit Me concealer, which is supposed to be a dupe of the Nars Creamy Concealer. I haven’t used it enough to get any solid thoughts on it yet, but there will be a review when I do! To finish my base I then powder over my spots and a little where I tend to get oily with the Charlotte Tilbury Flawless filter. This is my favourite powder, it is so light but makes my makeup stay all day and it never gets cakey!
Next, is my brows which I recently had waxed and tinted so I usually just brush through them with the Benefit Gimme Brow and let them do their thing.
Then onto mascara. Right now, I’m using the L’Oreal Voluminous Lash Paradise Mascara. I picked this one up because I needed a waterproof mascara. I do find it a little goopy for my liking but I’m hoping that it dries out a little as it gets older. The consistency makes it a little messy and time consuming to put on but I love how long and full it makes
On days I’m not working I’ll usually do a quick sweep of bronzer on my eyes and then dab on a bit of the Charlotte Tilbury Cream Eyeshadow in the colour Bette. I find this does crease a lot but I don’t mind that much and I love this colour. I also usually add a bronzer but I forgot to grab it for these photos – but it’s the same one from my summer makeup look, the Essence Luminous Matt Bronzer. I’m still using and loving it.
Lastly, is blush and lipstick. These two are an un-intentional match made in heaven. This is the Burts Bees Lip Crayon in Redwood Forest, and Glossier Cloud Paint in Storm. I love these colours for winter, giving me that “I just went outside” blush to the cheeks and lips. Usually, I’m not a fan of red lipstick but this one is my perfect red! You can make it look sheer or a layer it for deep full lipstick look! Plus its so hydrating and wears down well which is always a plus! (Shoutout to the makeup queen @allanaramaa for this recommendation!)
And thats it! Its quick, simple and I really love how it looks! This is what I’ll be wearing on Christmas day! What’s your go-to look for winter?
