“A great book should leave you with many experiences, and slightly exhausted at the end. You live several lives while reading.”
– William Styron
I love reading all year long, but does anything sound better than curling up in the chilly autumn weather with a hot drink and a great book? (The correct answer is no.) I have a very long list of books that I am trying to get through this autumn, so without further ado, my Autumn Reading List:

Read & Currently Reading
- The Life Changing Magic of Not Giving a F*ck
- Wired for Story
- Crushing It!
- The Storytelling Animal: How Stories Make Us Human
Apparently, I’ve been really into non-fiction lately. I’ve been trying to learn more about social media and video-making so lots of the books I have been reading have been focused on that. However, moving into the autumn season most of my reading list is fiction! It’s been a while since I focused on reading fiction books and I’m excited to start getting back into them.

Up Next
- The
Illuminae (TheIlluminae Files #1) - The Alienist
- The Colorado Kid
- IT
- Station Eleven
- The Nightingale
- Xenocide (Enders Game #3)
- Children of the Mind (Enders Game #4)
- Morning Star (Red Rising Saga #3)
- Iron Gold (Red Rising Saga #4)
- I Am Number Four (Whole Series)
Something about Autumn with its darks rainy days has made me want to start reading more science fiction and dark thrillers. I even have two Steven King books on my list! One because I love the loosely based tv adaptation, and the other because it got so much buzz. I don’t know how far I’ll actually get through It, as I’m not one for horror, but it is something that I would like to try reading!
I am also planning on continuing my reading of the two sagas I started last year, finishing Ender’s Game and catching up on Red Rising. Along with these two sagas I would like to re-read and officially finish the I Am Number Four series. I have had the last book in this series for years, but I hate endings, and this is my favourite book series so I have been hesitant to finish it. However, I think its time I learned how it ends. To really do the series justice I feel I need to re-read all the books in chronological order and end with the final book. I also have a couple other books that I’ve been meaning to read or were recommended to me.
So, that’s what I’ll be reading over the next few months! However, I am always happy to hear more book recommendations so leave those below or over on this Instagram post!
