Natural Skincare Haul \\ Follain

If you’ve been a reader of my blog for any length of time you’ll probably know I am a big fan of natural beauty products. So when a blogger I love, Ellen Fisher, mentioned Follain – a company that sells all natural clean beauty products, I was immediately curious! I browsed their website a little and decided to buy the Clean Essentials Kit, which is 100% non-toxic, vegan, and cruelty-free! It comes with sample/travel sized versions of Follain’s Hand & Body Soap, Osea’s Ocean Cleanser, Ursa Major’s Golden Hour Recovery Cream, Indie Lee’s COQ-10 Toner, and a Follain makeup bag.

I’ve also recently got my hands on a jade roller! I’ve wanted one for months but $40+ (looking at you herbivore!) just seemed a little steep, and the ones I found on eBay had questionable reviews. The other day I popped into a HomeSense with my sister to check out the beauty section and found one for only $10. So far I am loving it! It is so relaxing and I love to keep it in the fridge during these hot summer days.

Follain First Thoughts

Follain Hand & Body Soap

Originally, I only bought this kit to try the cleanser & toner, but I have been loving the Follain soap! I don’t know if I would call it a body soap – as I tried it in the shower and it didn’t lather as much as I would have liked. However, I do really enjoy it as a hand soap, it doesn’t leave my hands feeling dry and I LOVE the lavender scent.

Osea Ocean Cleanser

After hearing Ellen talk about this I was excited to try it. This cleanser claims to remove dirt and oil while boosting collagen levels and maintaining your skins pH-levels. So far I am loving it, it feels very gentle on my skin but leaves my skin feeling clean. You only need one little pump to clean your whole face too, so I think this sample will last me a while! I am going to use it for a couple weeks to really see how my skin reacts to it, but this checks all the boxes I look for in a cleanser and could very well become my new everyday cleanser!

Indie Lee COQ-10 Toner

I need to finish my current toner (here) before I try this one but I have high hopes for it! With hyaluronic acid and aloe, it claims to hydrate, refresh, balance and balance pH. And I’ve heard glowing (haha) reviews about it and I can’t wait to see how my skin reacts.

Ursa Major Recovery Cream

This product uses meadowfoam seed oil, neroli oil, and calendula extract to hydrate, nourish and protect from free radicals. I used this as my night moisturizer (As I just bought a new day moisturizer that I am already using, and will be sharing soon!) and I didn’t think I would like it but I did! I don’t love the smell but it faded quickly and when I woke up my face was hydrated but didn’t look greasy or shiny. I was so pleasantly surprised that I am going to add it into my routine right away, and I am excited to try this one a bit more!

The makeup bag (not pictured) all these products came in is really cute! I love the quote on it, “I like my products like I like my people. Nontoxic.” and I love the colour! The bag will be great for holding my skincare products for short/overnight trips!

I’ll be doing an updated skincare care routine soon, so stay tuned! How have you changed up your skincare routine for summer?

These products sound great and I’ll be sure to check the brand out! (there’s no such thing as too many natural skincare products). 😉 I’ve been looking at jade rollers recently and eventually decided not to get one, but now I’m second-guessing my decision… 😉

    Love,

I think you might! 😉 I love mine! I would definitely recommend trying it out with a cheaper one and make sure you love it before you invest! xx
