Throughout this winter my beauty routine has stayed pretty much the same. When I find products I love, I tend to stick to them. With the exception of a few products I’ve been testing, these are my favourites for winter! I love to keep my most used products right where I can reach them, so I have this cute little box that I keep up on my vanity. It keeps me tidy and keeps my products right where I can grab them. Without further adu, here is a look at my Winter Top Shelf!
I talked about these three products back in my January Beauty Haul. So I won’t go into too much detail about them again. However, I would like to give a little update as to how Solution has been working out for me. So far I’ve been using it for almost 4 weeks, and honestly, I’m not loving it. My skin really doesn’t seem to like it, I have lots of bumps I’m not used to and more breakouts than usual. I think this one is getting a no from me. If you have any other acid toner/solution suggestions for me to try out, let me know in the comments below!
Glossier’s Milk Jelly Cleanser and FAB Rapid Repair Cream are two favourites, and ones I’ll be sticking with through this winter. The cleanser is so gentle on my skin, I use it morning and night. And the moisturizer is thick enough to keep my skin hydrated without feeling heavy on my skin! This is a day and night moisturizer for me during the winter.
These are three of my favourite products for my lips.
Burts Bee’s in my all time to go, winter in Canada is harsh on your lips and mine get chapped so easily! I have a burts bees with me at all times. There’s one in my car, my bag, my coat, my car, my bedside table, my bathroom, etc… I’m a little obsessed. I love the peppermint flavour, and it doesn’t sit on top of my lips like I’ve found products like Carmex do.
Glossier Balm Dotcom and I have a strange relationship. While I don’t feel it keeps my lips hydrated, I do find myself grabbing it and putting it on in the mornings. I like that it’s a thick gloss and I love the coconut flavour. So, while it doesn’t really do much practicality wise, I do think its a fun product. I am still undecided on whether this will be a product I repurchase.
Lastly, a product I’ve talked about a lot lately is my Charlotte Tilbury lipstick in Bitch Perfect. I love this lipstick, and it’s my go-to. I love how creamy the formula is, and I don’t find it drying at all. Overall, I’m obsessed and you’ll be seeing more of this in the future I’m sure!
These are products you will have seen in my Favourite Hair Products post. I use these three products and these three products alone on my hair.
After I wash my hair I use a pump (and a half if my ends need a little extra TLC) of Ghost Oil all over my wet hair. I love using oils in my hair, and this one is super light but nourishing.
I then use Ouai’s Memory Mist all over my hair before I blow dry. I was determined not to like this product because of its price tag, but it really does deliver on its promises! For how much I use heat on my bleached hair, this product keeps it protected and helps with the longevity of however I style my hair.
If I curl my hair I use Ghost Hairspray all over afterwards. I love the finish this leaves in my hair – keeping my curls looking nice without giving my hair a noticeable hairspray smell or crunchy feel.
