If you look at the vine sticking up in the middle-left of the photo it ends in a kind-of V shape from the mountains – thats the city of Florence!

Florence was so much fun! Mom booked the most amazing tours!
Our first tour was a wine and vineyard tour (thank you Uncle B & Aunt Judy!!!). We got up early, (I) had several coffees, and we headed out into the countryside! My favourite vineyard was the first one, which had the nicest Italian man who brought us into his kitchen and made us homemade bruschetta (bakery fresh bread, olive oil from the vineyard, fresh tomatoes, an italian amount of salt, and tons of garlic!) while we tried his wines. The people on our tour with us were so much fun and we had a really great time touring around eating amazing food and trying tons of wines!
Our second tour was a cooking class! When we got there we were told that they were going to be filming our tour (super glad I decided to put on makeup and do my hair nicely)! We were a little hesitant, but the video turned out amazing and now we have a little documentary of OUR tour! We got to go and buy all the ingredients first – which meant touring around Florence and meeting all the vendors. Our tour guide was so nice (she said she could tell I had been in Italy for some time because I looked like I knew what I was doing!), and we learned a lot about florence while buying food. Then we headed up to the villa where we got aprons and got to learn how to make pizza, bruschetta, tiramisu, and pasta all from scratch! It was a lot of fun and the food we made was delicious. Again, we also had a really nice group of people on our tour with us! You can watch the video below! 🙂

One of my favorite countries in the world for food! I enjoyed it much more than Rome. FYI, the YouTube link is offline.
